Will expired crest whitestrips still work? - can you still use expired whitening gel

I have some Crest Whitestrips and forgot it. I recently started again and realized that expired in March. Will they still work for me? And they say you can do 2 in a row, one after the other. Are they trying to make money, or can I keep a tape in one hour? Can it work better? Any advice would be great on the White Strips. I want to really try to make money at home before you go spend two paychecks in the dental practice.
